Default Have a couple of questions regarding my '99 disco.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the boards and I recently got my '99 discovery sd from my dad, who upgraded. I have a couple of questions, where can I get a replacement sideview mirror as my right side has a significant scratch, just the mirror itself. Secondly, has anyone here found a solution for connecting their ipods directly to the stereo, one that isn't the harman kardon stereo (I don't really want to spend the money to get the the factory cd changer, and my ipod has all my songs, plus I'd like to avoid an fm transmitter)? And thirdly, where's a good place to find spare tire covers for the back? Any and all replies would be greatly appreciated.

I have had good luck buying parts from Rover Connection. They have good prices and are reliable, but their online ordering system is a bit primative.

I found a stereo Aux input adapter made by Peripheral at Discount Car Stereo. I have not bought it yet and have never dealt with these guys before, but I am planning to order one soon. It does not require the CD changer. I know that Blitz makes a generic Aux input to iPod adapter as I have one that I am about to install in another car. It gives you an iPod dock connector. There are lots of choices on these things, so read the descriptions carefully.

Check ebay for the spare tire covers. There's one seller on there that sells the ones with African animals on them (rhinos, elephants, etc.) for around $50-60. Also try this link:

Thanks for the post everyone, I will be looking into the different sources you guys have provided. Elhoff, let me know how that goes with your aux purchase for your disco and ipod, I think i'll probably try to find some reviews, but the prices on the aux inputs make them look more attractive then getting say a harman kardon car+play. Thanks guys.
