Question Hawkeye

Thanks Guys I'm stuck in snow & -10c temperatures without a garage & not able to do the repairs until the spring, but this is the time that i need a four wheel drive vehicle. I was hoping to find a landrover garage which is proving difficult & purchased the Hawkeye so that i guide a prospective garage to the problem, without them going through a trial and error scenario as this is an intermittent fault, ive already tried two auto electricians prior to buying the Hawkeye who readily brought out there computers & deleted the fault code but that obviously dosen't cure the problem. ( because they have a computer their all experts)

you have a 4114 shuttle valve failure code and your Hawkeye will not clear it, is that your problem? or it keeps coming back?

Hi Drowssap thank you; yes the Hawkeye does clear the 4114 fault code, and when the three Amigos appear. The fault come's back with:
Fault 4114 Historical, Electrically Supervision, I dont meen to be a donut but ive read on the forum that the three Amigos can be caused by a number of Issues, manely the wheel sensors so i wasn,t sure how reliable the Hawkeye is compared to perhaps Land Rover Test Equipment.

you need to install a shuttle valave repair kit and i would replace the o-rings as well.
the shuttle valave repair kit can be bought several place on line including ebay, the o-ring can only be sourced from one place if i remember correctly, i sure someone will jump in and tell you where.

The Hawkeye is just reading codes, it really not any different than the Testbook, just is limited to what it can program...so to answer your question, like drowssap said, it's a shuttle valve issue

I was getting the same error code, the amigos would randomly come and go but always the same code. I removed and tested the shuttle valve and it tested okay so I just did the bypass and I have been amigo free for about four months.
