Default Hawkeye diagnostic tool

I think Im going to use my tax return in April to purchase a much needed LR scan tool. Originally I was going to purchase a Ultra-Guage (and still may one day) but considering I do have the 3 amigos and check engine and considering I plan on keeping my truck for a long *** time, this tool would be a worthy investment. They are pretty pricey $600+. Anyone recommend anything better? or is this the best of the best for our Rovers?

Hawkeyes are great, I wouldn't buy one because I have access to one, but they are worth the money if you plan on keeping your truck code free.

How did Hawkeye reverse engineer the Rovacomm and not get sued?
Someone should reverse engineer the Hawkeye and sell it for $100.
Would make a mint.
Until Hawkeye sued them for cease and desist.
I guess the best lawyers win.

The nanocom evo is better and cheaper. (Talking list prices). Though you can get a hawkeye on eBay for less than $600.

Also the nanocom can be ran in gauges mode, sort of like the ultra gauge.

I think they stoped selling theRovacomm, could not find it anywhere and considering its a color touchscreen it must be $$$$.

It can do more so it seems.

The hawkeye is made by omitech for bearmach. Omitech makes the t4, which is or was the dealer scan tool. Even the button layout is the same as the t4 handheld.

The Nanocom EVO is now being marketed and maintained by the same company that made the Rovacomm and can do more than the Hawkeye and is close in price

:: Nanocom ::

The D2 motronics v8 pack version is $475 US plus shipping

Just found a euro site that sells it but its specific to the TD5 Disco, not the petro. Could use it for abs and things like that I suppose but I prefer something programmed with our petrol Disco in mind, and according to AB our trucks are already programmed in so you can perform engine management stuff.
