hazard lights when hitting a hard bump
so my hazard lights come on whenever i hit a hard bump in the road in my D1 and the only way to get them to go off is to turn the truck off and then back on... what do i cut/unplug/burn/shoot to make this stop happening... it is the most irritating thing in the world to me... it happens sometimes like 2 or 4 times a day depending on where i am going... its killin me
Pretty sure it is your inertia switch. Under the hood, little button by the washer reservoir. If it trips a little, it will flash hazards. If it trips hard, it cuts the fuel pump. Cut it out and you will loose the safety cutout for the pump.
i dont care ab no stinkin safety mechanisms... did i mention when this happens i dont even stop anymore, no sir, throw that bad boy in neutral, cut the ignition, start her back up, match the revs and back in drive she goes
:d nice!!! :d
Mine went on after going over a rough railroad crossing. You can hear the ticking in the ECU box. If it happens to easily, one may want to check if the ECU is still well secured.
