Angry Hazards wont stop and engine wont start

01 Disco 2, out of the blue the engine wont start (it will turn over) and the hazards wont stop until i disconnect the battery. Tried inertia switch reset, nothing. tried every tip on this forum regarding this issue and no luck. I'm about ready to have it towed to the dealer but i would reeeaaaalllly like to NOT have to as i get *** raped by them every time. Thank you.

so it turns over but doesn't crank.
you have described inertia switch trip.
you may have a faulty switch.
check the fuel pressure at the rail.

reset the inertia switch. It will cause the hazards to blink and crank but no start. Or bypass it. A buddy of mine helped someone along side the road with a bad switch. I think he just tore the switch off and twisted the wires together.... I'd probably try a paper clip.

You got a bad ground wire somewhere.
If you park it outside a rat or squirrel may have chewed a critical wire.

Otherwise.

Check that the braided wire is from the driver's side (USA) cylinder head to the fire wall.

And on the passenger's side check ALL the grounds there too.
Bunch of wires ground to the engine block

If you have a bad ground and try to start it with a bad ground
the starter can ground thru the emergency brake cable and cause a fire or burn your hand
be careful
