Default Head bolt/torque wrench question

I am putting in new head gaskets and rebuilt heads (03D2) and neither of my decent torque wrenches go down to 15 ft/lbs. My small 3/8" drive goes from 20 to 100 and my 1/2" is 50 to 250. I am wondering if I can set the small one to 20 and then back off 5 on the 1-10 dial if it will still be accurate "enough" to do the first 15 ft/lbs torque even though it it rated at 20-100? Or should I get another torque wrench that goes down to 15 or less? I have an old one that goes down to 10 but, it is a real cheapo and anything below about 20 feels like the adjustment handle is just turning with no spring pressure so not sure if it would be accurate to use. I'm afraid if I don't get the first 15 right on the money I may strip something on the two 90 degree pulls. Thanks for your help.

I've used that 20 and off technique. I have checked it against my 1/4 that reads that low and it was accurate.

Sounds good. That's what I was hoping to hear. Tired of buying stuff.
Thanks
