Default Head Bolts

Hello everyone. Im currently waiting on head gaskets to get here for my rig and Im curious if anyone knows anything about Pro-Line parts on Roversnorth.com. I need to buy new head bolts and they are quite a bit cheaper than some of the alternative brands. Can anyone tell me if they are quality or if I should avoid them?

I’m not familiar with that brand but good quality head bolts aren’t terribly expensive. IIRC a full set is only around $30.

You can get a complete headgasket kit including TTY head bolts for 75 - 100 on ebay (search using part numbers) but personally I went for the ARP 157-4301 during my rebuild because I don't care for torque to yield bolts.

The ARP studs are in the $300 range. There is debate about whether the TTY bolts (standard) or ARP studs are better. Most people on this forum advocate for the studs. I’ve personally only done 2 head gasket jobs (my D2 and my P38) and have used the TTY bolts both times. So far I haven’t been convinced that the studs are worth it.

Proline is what Rovers North tends to call anything they've put together in house (ie not genuine LR). I find the proline stuff to be good (or better) quality and I've bought a good bit of it for D2's and RRC's.

However... I would caution you against Atlantic British's house brand.. I think it just says "By AB" or osomething. Unfortunately, although I love Atlantic British, I have at times found quality -- or fitment -- is hit or miss with their house selections. Usually I make sure I know the brand from them, or buy genuine LR.
