Head-On Collison
I have to agree with Mike. There are all kinds of hidden issues that can occur in a wrecked vehicle. Yes, some vehicles can be safely put back on the road, but that is a large gamble, not only for the driver, but for other drivers on the road.
exactly! a head on at 65mph should have destroyed the vehicle...and probably the driver!! 9000 in damage can be done in a fender bender with cars these days. This post makes no sense what so ever. This has got to be a lame attempt at humor with a goof on those commercials.

I dont understand how a head on collision at 65 was only $9000 in damage...

two cars traveling at highway speed hit head on with a resultant force (negating momentum)of 130mph........ has anyone seen a crash test of a land rover or any suv for that matter performed by national traffic safety people at 45mph. come on man give us some credit here.
My post wasn't a question, I was simply stating my DIY mechanic skills..Afterall, Certain people on this forum applaude others for their DIY skills. Drives better now than before the accident. Just this past month I replaced every gasket in the engine. Not bad for someone who never picked up many wrenches.

Why resurrect a 5+ month old thread just to stir **** up?
Odd, indeed!
Never did see pics... I would think that anyone that proud of their DIY skills would surely have documented their efforts with some before & after shots.
Plus, head-on at 65? Come on, there'd be little salvageable on either car and survivors would be lucky!
