Ok forget the new bolts for one second. How in the world do you get the original ones off? A cutting torch?! Especially that little aiorfhauihuihgf by the fire wall on the driver side holy crap!

5/8 x 1/2 drive shallow impact socket, 4 inch 1/2 drive extension & 24 in 1/2 breaker bar, works for me.

A 1/2" impact swivel can help too. I used jfall's pics for reference...he has a pic of extensions on that exact bolt.

You can pull the motor mounts and let the motor lean forward to get a better angle

I just purchased this one from ebay(Land Rover DISCOVERY RANGE ROVER Head Gasket Set w/ Bolts1995-2004 OEM FREE Ship). Looks to be a good deal! I dont know why I'm saying this but I'm looking forward to installing it. Might even replace the timing chain and water pump while I'm at it.

I saw that and I was tempted but you know what they say about genuine land rover parts

If you like the head bolts on the rear corners, the exhaust bolts are also the military version designed by Major Payne Diass. You'll want an inspection mirror, and something to bend those locking tabs with.
