I marked my heads for port matching. There really is not much to take off honestly. The exhaust manifold is the most restrictive so far. They’ll get smoothed out a bit and slightly enlarged, but not by a lot.

The wiring coming out of the fuse box to the engine has been an absolute tangle. Someone had everything disjointed. Got everything going in the right directions. Put new loom on the positive feed to the Alternator and the wiring to what I think is the cam shaft sensor or whatever is underneath the center pulley.

Got my throttle body cleaned up and somewhat derusted.

Jah, the cam sensor is the single wired one that is under the center pulley.

mine was caked with sludge and the protective loom was crispy. I cut it off and put some fresh loom on it, and taped up the connector so less funk would get in. Man, it’s nasty down there.

Mine is way worse, i guarantee it.

I hate all that plastic loom covering stuff -- i tore off all the old stuff and rewrapped everything in a silicon tape. I will however, be replacing the single wire cover with the OEM stuff since the silicon tape is better for wrapping whole loooms rather than single wires.

I’ve been using various sizes of high temp split loom and high temp electrical tape. Silicon tape more durable?

My brother has been using it on his race car for years now and it works really well -- super easy to use, it just bonds to itself so not sticky mess blah blah.

I like to wrap wires in dry vinyl tape first so that nothing sticky is on the wires, then follow it up with Tesa wiring loom tape (Tesa makes many different styles) for small bundles of wire, and/or silicone self-fusing tape for bulkier wires. I redid the entire engine harness that way. I also separated that 3 way junction w/ the alternator/starter cables into separate runs for my dual batt setup, and for easier maintenance.

This is one of the styles of the Tesa tape:
