Default head studs and time inserts

So I'm 3 weeks into owning a 03 discovery and I'm ***** deep already. I may be late to the party but in my researching i could not find anything definitive. i blew a head gasket about a week into owning this machine. After pulling the heads found out why. Most bolts were barely hand tight and one was completely stripped. Long story short i decided to use the time certs and head studs. Time certs work but i stopped at 60 ft lbs. Reason being i had a stud pull out on the final pass trying to get to 70 like D&D recommended. i also ordered both ARP kits the buick/rover kit and the "new" kit with the longer studs. The new studs are longer but not by much. I'm using the new kit because with this aluminum we need all the help we can get. I know 60ftlbs is far from the 100 arp calls for but thats way to much stress on the threads. We only go 65 lbs on the cast iron mustang 5.0 engines back in the day. Cheers
