why you getting a transmission? your drive shaft took it out? did you get the headliner painted?

Yep, the previous owner did not know about the drive shaft issue and it failed and threw a hunk of metal through the transmission.

Just finished the headliner and got it installed. Will take pictures tomorrow in the daylight.

MAN IM SORRY I DIDNT FIND THIS POST EARLIER CHANCO! I dont have internet at home so I was away from the forums all weekend. hilltop gave you great advice. I have done two boards, one on my DII and one on a DI.

On my board i just painted flat black with about 3 cans after cleaning it nicely. no primer though...

on the DI, i used primer and then a few coats of the satin latex...

Both are very different and when I service the DI next time i will take pics of it...

So I'm about to go take my headliner out to paint my board as well. Do I really have to do all this crap RAVE says to? That seems like an awful lot just to get out the headliner.

Yes,

Just follow rave and take your time so you don't break any plastic trim, lose screws, or bend/break the headliner board.

I followed rave for my DII but I didnt need to on the DI because its very similar.

haha it was alot of damn stuff to take out, but now i did it once i feel like i could knock out a few more pretty easily.

the torx screw is the punnisment dealt out by God to the guy who invented the phillips screw. (IMOP)

The rig went to the tranny hospital last night. Will get you guys some pics when I get the rig home. It was a tough job getting that thing out lol.
