Thanks Army Rover. I am actually going to be taking the headliner out of my father’s Disco this coming week to do the same color combo (copy cat&#128540. He has the sun roofs in his so it will be a little more involved. I will write a tutorial while doing his and do a step by step, highlighting the few areas you have to watch out for while removing/installing the headliner.

00&04 That looks awesome! that's on our list soon as well! Did they scrape off the foam from the surface? Think I'm putting the "tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick first though!

Garrdogg- thanks! Yes, they scrapped all of the foam material off of the cardboard. Once it was clean they were able to apply the spray adhesive and the new material was laid down. The headliner material had the foam and black material in one. What are you doing about your tick?

00&04, we just installed a Britpart 2'" lift yesterday and adding a steel front bumper, replacing the ABS shutter valve along with both right side window motors today! She's taking shape. last week replaced abs sensor and purge valve, about 6 months ago we installed an 04 cdl and shifter too. Falling headliner drives the wife nuts, and the "tick" has me a little worried. I've ran seafoam and oil changes trying to see if it was a sticky valve but the "tick" hasn't stopped. It comes and goes which I'm hoping is due to a valve issue rather than a liner.
Rides like a whole new truck with the new springs and shocks, at 165K the old ones had shlt the bed!

Bravo, 00&04. Does it actually reduce wind noise that much? I plan to do the same when I take my headliner panel down to fix sunroof drains and upholstery. I am very interested to hear how the floor soundproofing goes; I plan to do that also. Do update us.

I did it on my old Audi wagon and made a huge difference -- its a no brainer especially if you have the interior all apart to fix other things.

Landy,
Covering the whole top made a huge difference in the wind noise. Honestly 2-3X less noise with just the top and doors complete. Make sure to take your time and get the sound deadining material on all of the front of the roof where the wind hits the most surface area. It is a lot of cutting and trimming pieces to fit but it is worth it!

I will do a write up on my father’s disco when I do it soon. I need to read more on all the sunroof issues I need to address while doing his since I didn’t have to worry about it with mine. Keep me posted if you get after yours before I start on my fathers since it might get pushed back a little.... I bought another 2003 Disco with 90k original miles. Really good shape just doesn’t run very good yet. I plan on pulling it in the shop and tearing into the motor this weekend.
