Heated Seats??
First of all where are the heated seat switches located if eqipped? I searched the other posts and it said the leather seats were already fitted with the heater elements but what was the alternative to leather? The vehicle I am looking at is a 2003 discovery II with 78k miles for $9,995...good or bad? One more thing is the discovery very top heavy. By the looks of it it is but I was wondering. The day we went to look at the vehicle the dealer had lost the keys and being that it is located an hour away we havent test drove it yet.
Thanks,

right by the window switches in the center console. I paid $10k for my 2002 disco 2 in 2005 in manhattan with 50,000 miles on it. Suffice to say you can do better pricewise, think $5,000 for a clean model. Plus some 2003's have a fatal engine flaw that is not fixable and it was never recalled find out the VIN. Also Discos are not top heavy they just look that way, the body panelling is all aluminum and it has a very low center of mass.
Also remember Discos can be turned in as part of the cash for clunkers deal for $4500, suffice to say no one wants a 14 mpg premium gas drinking expensive part using up british truck. So use that to your advantage in the price negotiations.

Or cloth.
If you find leather, then you can go on line to Atlantic British and order the switch and trim plate and do a plug and play.
Most areas, right now, should have 03's at $8000 if not on Rover's vin list for possible engine failures.

that truck is way over priced. not to mention the engine could be doomed. gonna need the 100k head gasket service soon amongst other things.... I'd offer him $5k and work up wouldnt pay more than $6.5k for it
