Red face Heated Seats....

OK, there I was checking out the Atlantic British website and I noticed that all I need to have heated seats on my '99 DII is to have the correct switches near the window controls. Soooo. This morning I went to the salvage yard and snatched up a new center control panel with the heated seat switches for $40.00 Voila!! I now have working heated front seats! Just in time for the So Cal summer...

I am still looking for beige cup holders for the console and a new ladder. My Bottorf bumper should be here in a week or so!!

Am I to understand from this that all the seats are wired, and the only difference is having/not having the switch?

Trucks that do not have leather do not have the heating elements in place that are necessary to use these plug and play kits.
The kit is available from Atlantic British.
Please note that the kits from the 99-02's are different from the 03-04 kits.

My wife is such a pain in the rear. Last night we got into the Disco to head home and she turned to me and said, "Too bad you don't have heated seats. That would be nice."

I told her about the kit two weeks ago and she couldn't believe I hadn't ordered it already and was giving me crap. She doesn't believe me when I say that I'm not going to go crazy with this thing and start buying parts left and right.

God, I love that woman.

Here's one for a D1 that is CHEAP but nobody seems to know if it will work in a DII

Thanks to all who contributed to this post. I almost couldn't belive it when I read the post. I went to ebay and bought a used master switch for $20 including shipping. Took less than an hour to install the switch and now I have heated seats in my 99 disco II. I probably don't need them but I've got them if I want to use them. Something cool for my disco thats cheap.
