Default Heated windscreen failure

The LED in the switch lights up, the fuses all pass a visual and I have 14V coming out of the plugs in the cowl when the switch is pressed. The system also activates when the HVAC DEF button is pressed, however neither side clears. The pass side used to try and clear but now nothing perceptible happens. I assume the elements in windshield have failed, I get .959 MΩ on the driver's side, virtually open. The pass side tests at a more hopeful 220 kΩ but no real world results are produced when activated. I'm curious if anyone knows what the correct values of a working windshield should be, or if they would unplug their own and test the leads coming from the windshield side. I can't find it in any of the docs. This feature worked well in my last truck and I'd like to have it back, if I can find a used windshield I might risk breaking all the plastic pillar bits on my truck to swap it out.
