Default Heavy steering (96 Disc 1)

hello everyone. new here. Already found all kinds of useful stuff. Have been rebuilding my 96 Disco and already replaced the steering box and steering damper shock. (have a small leak so will be replacing the hoses next but by itself it's too small to affect steering). Still the steering feels too heavy even for a LL, specially when maneuvering in and out of parking spaces. Any suggestions? Is the steering fluid shared by any other systems (i.e brakes)? Could fluid viscosity make a difference?

I figure since you have replaced the gear box that you also replaced the steering fluid, you might want to add a bottle of Lucas power steering additive to see if you can free up the pumps action.
