Default Hella 3000 - 96 Disco 1

I've been a huge Rover fan for years, and I finally saved up the dough and bought myself a gently used one. I bought a '96 Disco 1 SE7.

Excellent vehicle. Perfect condition. But now I want to install some Hella 3000 Rallye lights I purchased. I don't have a bush bar, and I don't want to install one. I will be installing a winch hopefully by the end of the summer when some more money frees up. Just wondering if anyone has an ideas on mounting these suckers to the front of the LR.

Also, what's the best setup to have the lights on? High beems? Low beems? Separate?

Any input would be greatly appriecated.

Thanks!

The preferd metod for hooking up the Hella lights is to put them on a toggle switch, it is illegal to run them on the road, so if you wire them with your headlights you will get a ticket and then have to remove them or rewire them, so do it right the first time.
As for where to mount them, most mount them to the brush bar, there are holes pre drilled for the lights, otherwise you have to mount them to your front bumper. Which means drilling holes in you bumper.

What about the addition of a winch? Will bull/brush bars make the addition fairly difficult?

Where is the best place to mount a winch? I figure I could mount thelights in the front bumper and then a winch underneath.

You can install a hidden wich, UrbanPanzer has a nice write up on it for his DII. But in my opinion a ARB bumper is the best way to go, has a place to mount the lights and the winch.
Do a search for UP's write up.
