Cool Hello All

Ok so been subscribed for a bit now.
And been driving my 2000 D2 on the farm for a month, (700 miles) its all stock and really good shape.
I have read a Ton of these threads, and almost all of the stickys. I think I have a pretty good idea of what I am in for.
So I just bought it for 3500 u s dollars
I got the Extinct T stat Mod, installed it (160 stat for summer) and it is Great !!
Running 170 at highway speed and low and slow on the farm, 180 climbing 15 mile 5 percent grade from 4000 to 6000 ft elevation.
Just too a 300 mile trip to the cabin and back , ran beautiful. small hick up, rear seal on T case started leaking, Parts ordered, thats next.
Im too new to post pics, But I will when my account gets approved.
I just wanted to say..... Hi All

@Gman1968 Welcome - that rear transfer case seal is pretty easy. It was recommended to be to add RTV around the edge of the washer which will eliminate a lot of leaks over time.

Also replace the big nylock nut 30mm they are a one and done sort of thing.
Have gear oil and a drip pan you will lose abut 1/2 liter or so of gear oil.

I just want to have you explain how to pronounce Toole….

I just got my 4th Disco with my 3rd being a driver and my favorite was the second, which was a ‘00 Non-SAI one that was fully loaded. I’m enjoying the added power of the 4.6, but still miss my ‘00.

If you can’t figure something out, the shop to go to in UT is Great Basin Rovers (GBR). Those guys are gods and I learned an absurd amount from them.

Utah does have some fun city names. You can always tell a Utah newbie by how they say Tooele, Hurricane, Salina, or Duchesne.
