Help with Heater Blower
I have a 2003 Discovery II SE. Started it up today and had no heater. I could feel some radiant heat coming through, but it was not pushing out air. I heard some noises coming from below the passenger dash. Sounded like the fan trying to come on, but it didn't.
Does anyone know how I can tell for sure this is a blower motor without going to dealer? And can anyone recommend a place that I can get cheap parts from? I am driving to hoodoo on the 19th and need to get this fixed asap!!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Unplug your heater blower and clean the contacts, it is common for them to become dirty/corroded and the blower not work.

Thanks. Obviously I need to buy an idiots manual. Which one is the best for landrover? I try not to buy Haines (too general). Any others? Is it fairly straight foreward to get to that blower?
On a D1 my blower turns off and on randmoly, usually after hitting a bump or something... when I switch the blower from whatever speed it is on to a different one it turns back on
I suspected a relay, however I cannot find it
I know it is not the switch (already got a different one) any other ideas?

My D1 blower randomly will stop running then start again on its own after a few seconds. The longest it has ever stopped for was about 30 seconds. Hasn't done it to me lately so haven't taken the time to find out why it does it.
It could also be the brushes on the actual fan motor. I'm not sure if these are easy to replace or not and if you can find the right size brushes for the motor but it may be worth looking into.
Thanks for all the advice so far. My wife mentionded that she paid for a warranty so I took it in today. They looked at it for about 2 hours, sent me off in a loaner and called to say that it was a bad connection between fuse box and fan. Not a selenoid, not a fuse, a bad connection. They want to replace my fuse box (not covered by warranty) at the cost of 560$.
Bottom line is that I don't have it. Does anyone know any tricks here or how to clean the "connection". I use quotes because I don't even know where the connection is. Any help appreciated..... Thanks.
