Default Help M A P sensor location 2004 disco 2

I can't find the location of the map sensor or manifold absolute pressure sensor everything I google comes up with the maf sensor or mass air flow sensor my disco is running lean and burning alot of fuel

Its by the dipstick if its a td5. Doesnt exist on a v8

It is the V8 but I got a code for the map that makes no sense and also for my O2 sensor's I guess I just need to start going down the line then

How does it know the fuel air mixture to use?

Are you sure you don't mean the MAF? It's all in there -- the big thing by the airbox in the intake tube. In other words, why are you looking for a MAP sensor (code or something ?)

I see MAP and MAF commonly confused on car forums etc online lots so perhaps you are looking for the MAF?

Yeah I'm sure that's what the code came up with cause I've tested the MAF it was easy to locate but the codes are coming up with 1/2 O2 sensor's vac leak and Map sensor fault I checked for vac leaks with starter fluid nothing then i talked to friend and hes said the map can cause false readings for the o2 and vac leaks but I can't find it

The V8 doesn't have a MAP sensor.
What are the codes that you're reading?

P1412 = SAI (probably a vacuum line leaking, a 90 nipple cracked, or the little solenoid is INOP.

I sprayed vac line with starter fluid to try and find a leak but rpms didn't rise maybe the cylinoid needs to be replaced
