Here is a video about what I have done so far, if anyone sees anything let me know. I am at the point I don't know what to do but take it to the dealer or use it for parts.
Buy a match set ECU BCU Inst Cluster off ebay, see if it gets your truck running. You can always resell on ebay for what you paid, minus shipping of course which should be less than $20.
I must not understand how the immobilizer works, because on my 2004 D2, I replaced the ignition with a D1 switch and key and the truck starts and runs fine...
doesnt the immobilizer recieve signal from the key on most cars?
When you put the key in what gear does the dash say your in ?? Anything other than P park your not going to start. Loosen the nut on xyz switch and move the shifter until it says p park on your dash. Than tighten but. Computer thinks your in gear or neutral

The gear indicator just flashes it never displays a gear, I took the XYZ switch off and moved it to every position with it plugged in and it never displayed any gear.
Okay I went and bought a good ECU and BCU as well as a Nanocom to try and fix this truck. I tried the Nanocom first to see what I could do before I changed anything. The Nanocom can read from the ECU but it will read "Cannot communicate with ecu" when trying any function under the BCU menu.
I then plugged in my new BCU and still the same error messages. After plugging in the new ECU same result. I am assuming my original ECU is good at this point and I have some corroded/broken wires between the ECU and BCU that they cannot see each other.
Can anyone direct me to exactly which connectors on the BCU or ECU connect over to the other so that I can trace those wires and clean the connectors.
I did find the problem communicating with the BCU and now almost everything works. I still have the flashing M and S on the dashboard, the car will start from the key for the first time but it only runs for a second and then shuts off. I kept playing around with things and now the car will crank but not start at all anymore. Here is the error the Nanocom is displaying, I hope I am finally close to hearing this thing run this immobilizer is killing me.
