Was doing induction cleaning and heard a noise from the bottom of the engine. Like a fuse go out bit louder then smoke came from the passanger side with a plastic burning smell. Car died and will not start. Not even the starter.
went to do it in n industrual area and stuck here. Called a tow truck and waiting for them
Any idea what it is.

Sorry I got nothing. Just to be clear, this happened while you were feeding the Seafoam into the plenum and the truck was idling? Have you looked at the fuses in the fuse box under the hood?

yes. As i was feeding it. In the begining i thing it took to much seafoam and stalled i restarted and did it again tightening the hoze. The engine was running rough. Staling almost. No smoke. Pulled out the end of tube that was in the can thats when it happen.
Checked the fuses. The one that can be seen are not not blown
tge rest cant see. The smell and smoke came from pasanger side. Bottom or side of the engine.
Still watlng for tow truck.

Sounds like a battery cable fried.
It has nothing to do with the Seafoam, just a odd coincidence.
For whatever reason a cable got to hot and melted, thats what the smoke and burning smell was, the cables are covered in a plastic like coating.

Thank you.
Tried to see with a flash light for burned cables but could not see anything.
Seems that the smell is coming off that black cilynder shaped thing on the passanger side (vacum writen on it).
Don't know what's is called. I noticed that one little hose that goes from it, toward the throtle body (or aroound there) was disconected.
Does this mean anything?

my truck in the pep boys parking lot, it was the only store close to me that i could have it towed.
i could not find a better picture but "stole" one of the pics in the forum
apologies to the owner of the pics.
smell looks like is coming from the black plastic thing in (circled).
at the end of this (engine side) there is a hose that runs towards the "induction cleaning" nip, there seem to be 2 hoses one goes to the nip and the other seems to go towards the throttle body.

sorry i dont know the right names of these parts. thanks for the patience.

Wow, scary. Curious to see how this turns out.

How quickly was the sea foam being fed into the intake?
