in the beginning it was quick, cant tell how quick but it was not dripping, only the first second and then engine shut off.
after it shut off i let it run a few mins then started again
but this time i had pinched the hose to much so nothing was going in. slowly started to release it, and seemd to be going ok. but not a constant flow of seafoam.
when i wanted to stop and took the hose out of the can, thats when it happened. i had my back turned to it but it did sound like a fuse going and then the smoke, first i thought it was coming out from the bottom of the engine but then later realized there was more smell by the vacuum reservoir.

i am looking it up in rave, it shows how is all put together and what fuses work with it.

will take it to a LR shop tomorrow.

How quickly was the sea foam being fed into the intake?

I wonder if you blew the master power fuse thingy, I dont know what it is called but there is a circuit breaker that basically all the power for the engine runs through.
Look in your owners manual and look up all the fuses under the hood and see what there is, it will be big amps, like 30 or more.

Also there is a fuseable link that is designed to melt to prevent the electrical wiring from burning up, like if you hook up the battery backwards or some such.

I get power on the dashboard and everywhere else.
When i try to trun the engine on i only hear a clik no cranking.
Tried the shut off switch the blinkers went on. Tried again but emergency blinkers kept going.
disconected the batery tried again. Nothing....

How can i tell those fuses are blown or not?
They are like plastic boxes.

There are supposed to reset themselves after you pull them out, wait like 30 sec and put them back.
But if they are fried then you need to replace them.
I think that if you put a ohm meter on the terminals you should get a reading, if not then it is bad.
But someone with electrical knowledge will have to answer that one.

Thank you.
Will try that in the morning.
When i disconected the battery didnt wait that long. So maybe it was not long enough for them to reset.
I hope that would be it. But the smoke and the smell tell me something worse happened.
Hope i am wrong.

Are these the fuses under the hood left side?
Or should i try the ones under dashboard also?
Is there any more else where?
Will also check the book.
Where is this fusable link located?
Thanks again.

check the ones on the passenger side under the hood in the fuse box. There the block ones running front and back. Look into the top of them there should be a peice of copper connecting in the middle [fuse] if its missing or melted theres your problem. If you wish, take off the plastic cover and remove the screws that hold the fuses in, then use an ohm meter to check, but you should defiantly see if it burnt up. I don't know how hard these are to find but if you need one let me know I pulled all of them out of a land rover today just incase.

By the way what hose were you putting it in? I always use the line off of the brake booster.

And what was very weird about seafoaming the discovery was mine would start ticking bad, and I would turn off the key and it would KEEP RUNNING! and then shut off and have a little smoke from under the hood..

Never had that happen on another vehicle but then agian theres no other vehicle like a land rover.

Sounds like you melted the fusable link. Follow the battery cable into the black fuse box on the inner passenger fender and you will see it runs into the fuse (metal strip). Not sure why it would melt though. Maybe you grounded something and shorted it by accident?
