Default Help please, im new here, but not to discos. looking for advice

whats up, i have a 99' disco II stock. i ordered a brushbar and some new lights, but want to raise her up about 2 inches total, and then get some mud tires. idont know much about tires at all so i just want to know what to get. i want something in the 32" rage that arent terribly expensive.
as for the lift, idk whether i should go with body, suspension, or a combination of both. im really looking for straight up ground clearance, so whichever is best.
posting links would be amazing thanks guys

The whole purpose of a lift is to allow space for bigger tires.
A lift does nothing for ground clearance but it does help approach and departure angles.
Your ground clearance is only as high as your lowest point, and thats your differentials.
You will want a suspension only lift.
Old Man Emu is the preferred but also the most expensive.

if you just want the bigger tire look but dont plan to go off-road I suggest getting all terrain tires instead of mud terrain..they'll ride a lot better and do better in that NY snow.

The tires are not brand name- but you are not gonna find an aggresive tire that cheap anywhere

Do you need a lift, or do you just want one?
I usually tell people to hit the trails a few times to determine what you really need.
You might find a nice A/t will do the trick.
If you're just going for looks, go for suspension as others mentioned. Body lifts dont go over well this our high profile trucks.

no i legitimatly need a lift, if you look at my pictures, you can see that my tires are great all around (forteras) i just always get ****ed in deep ruts and departure angles. i really could use the lift and bigger tires once i can get some more money together, but ill check those links out, thanks!

Well, you've determined what you need, and it sounds like you def. need a lift.
I saw the broken bumper pics, did you get that fixed already or are you just living with it for now?

forgot about this thread. i got a new bumper from roverparts.com which was nice because i drove 20 min to pick it up at the warehouse! that was annoying to install because i destroyed the latches to fasten the bumper to truck. however, im not going to do a lift just yet. my tires are getting to the end of theyre life so im going to get some bil ol tires, maybe 34" or so and im going to to a brushbar and a custom roof bar and mount 4 lights.
