D2 doesn't have a chip in the key (other than the keyless remote). You can start the car with a basic metal key from the hardware store, if the alarm isn't on.
The XYZ switch is on the side of the transmission, at the end of the shift cable.

As already mention, no chip in your key so that is ruled out, and super lock, in no way shape or form has anything to do with the engine not cranking. Super lock, basically are dead bolts locking your doors.
As for the battery being out/removed/or dead for any period of time, the only effect it will have on your truck is some of your ECU's will loose their adaptive memory but retain all that is necessary to start and drive your truck.

I am leaving immobilazation out of the picture since the alarm LED acts normal.
No chip, no superlock, don't even look like the rollover thing kills power to the starter.
Dam, look like another 2 months.
About tempted to jump the starter and see what happens.
I guess I should hope for a bad starter or dirty solenoid, if it's in the
computer part of the truck than that will be it for me.
My budget is about shot.
How about a stupid question, even tho I already tried holding down the sensor.
But would the hood being open matter in any way? I think the sensor is for the
alarm only from what I read, but...
