Default Help, secondary air pump/valve on a 2004 Disco

I am looking at a 2004 Discovery with less than 70k miles. It has shown a code for the secondary air pump and a clogged air pump valve. It is also showing the air bag light. Overall the truck is in good shape, not perfect. Has the regular SE bells and whistles. It is also in need of a drivers door regulator and motor. What am I looking at on the secondary air pump and valve repair? Looks like it is a fairly easy repair, save the parts, about $500. As for the window regulator and motor? What am I looking at? I don't have the maintenance history in hand, but the carfax shows that it was dealer maintained up to just under 60k miles. It is likely in need of the 60k service. What are your thoughts? thanks Phil

It is common for the filter on the SAI pump to get clogged from lack of maintenance, replace the air filter before you do anything else.
There are 2 common problems that set off the SRS light.
1-the contacts inside the passenger seat belt buckle are dirty, buckle and unbuckle the passenger seat belt a dozen times or so.
2-the wire harness at the seatbelt pretensioners get wiggled loose/dirty. Clean with electrical parts cleaner and plug back in.

It is common for the window regulator to go bad, the plastic rollers on them break.

expense-wise, are these big issues or just nagging issues. The seller is willing to let this go for a decent price. I figure that I am looking at some $1500 - $2000 in deferred maintenance (60k mile work) and repair issues. It is pretty nice looking though. I just hope that I don't have head gasket problems in the near future. Even with regular anti-freeze changes, the HGs still seem to go between 70k and 100k. Are the 4.6 L 2004 models any less prone to the Head Gasket problems? Phil

All DII's are prone to head gasket problems, it's because of the coolant.
