Default Help wont start

Hello,

Got my car back togather the other day and it has been running great for about a week. No this morning it wouldnt start I wiggled the wires in the back of the car for the fuel pump and it started I restarted it 10 times beofre I went on my well not it wont start. I took the harness out checked it and respliced the black wires but still nothing I checked the valve on the rail and no pressure at all. My question is can the crank sensor not work then work, basically be flaky? Can I by pass the entertia switch somehow?

Thanks

I think the camshaft sensor controls the fuel, crank sensor is for spark. Can you check to see if you at least have voltage getting to the fuel pump when you turn the ignition on?

Edit: you have a Disco I, so I'm not sure about the sensors.

Ok I checked everything and dont have power at the pump. I even went out past the harness from the pump to the other plug and no power. Will the crankshaft sensor shut off the power to the pump completely?

THanks

Just to clarify, you should only have power to the pump for a second or two when you turn the ingition on and then it will shut the power off if you don't start it. I doubt it's the sensors, unless a Disco I is very different from the II.

Thanks

Ok guys when the keys is turned the voltage for the pump goes up to 12V and around 5V for the gauge. BUt she wont turn over. I know I have spark she will fire up for a few seconds with starting fluid. So what should I check next?

Thanks

So you arereading 12V at the pump's plug, but the pump doesn't work when plugged in but it works when you hot wire it?

Check for some type of blockage ie: Kinked line or blocked filter. It may be as simple as that.
