What does it sound like when you try to start it?

A strong click with no turn over might be the starter

A strong turning over sound with lights and power still could be the fuel filter or anything starving the engine of fuel.

If the lights are off or dim, could be the battery.

Sorry if this is all no S*#^ to you... just trying to help.

We really need to know more.

Does it turn over normally but just wont start or will it not do anything?

yes it it turning over just like it would normally but sounds as if it is out of gas ( I have a little over 1/4 Tank) Or as if it has no spark. It did it the other night but eventually started after 5 minutes.

Sorry I missed your other post.

Remove one of the spark plus and reattach the plug wire and then crank it over, if it sparks its a fuel issue, if not its a spark issue.

If it is a spark issue then its a bad crank sensor, if its a fuel issue then a bad fuel pump.

There is no fuel filter on a DII.

Spike Thanks for the Quick response.

Both the crank sensor and the fuel pump sound involved in replacing?

The fuel pump is a easy fix, just a hammer and a chisel or punch is really needed, You take some interior panels off, roll up the carpet in the cargo area and it is right there. You could do it at the side of the road.

Crank sensor, i dont know.

Crank sensor is really easy. Two bolts and a plug. Be careful not to bend the tip or you can damage it.
