Here we go again...
So coming down my street today, my 02 disco ii felt like it was rolling with the emergency break on. It even had me feeling like my breaks were giving out. I barely could stop without pressing hard on the pedal...I'm assuming abs was doing its job. When I parked her, smoke was coming from the front passenger side tire, the rear drivers side tire, and there's an oily gunk built up inside the rear tire rim. Someone said it was brake fluid and that my calipers done...I am not losing brake fluid but the fluid is brown and thin. For a week I've noticed in the mornings, my pedal is light. Like I'd have to press it close to the floor to stop, but as it warmed up it felt normal. My abs modulator under the hood is making a funny noise too...even after truck is off and setting a while...did I mention I slight whistle/wine sound occurred this morning from beneath her. Good thing I didn't get on the expressway as I typically do. Ohhhh! About the expressway, 'tween 70-80, she hums and vibrates a bit under my feet.... Shew! Where would you guys start? I'm gjacking her up in the morning and need to at least order parts to get her safely mobile, then taking her in to a good mechanic I known for some maintenance
Mine was just one assembly. Not all. It was the caliper piston that leaked.
Better to check your brake pads and rotors as well. Sometimes when you apply brakes from around 30-45mph from a higher speed, you will feel vibration, this happens when some pistons are stuck and not evenly applying pressure to the pads. Same as when a rotor is warped.
On the drivers rear wheel, the oily gunk could be gear oil coming from the hub o-ring or axle seal. Mine was leaking form the o-ring.
Sounds like the pass front caliper is frozen. If it was your DII should have been pulling to the right when driving. with the DII jacked up, try spinning the wheel and compare it to the other side.

Pull when wheel with the gunk. Look at the inside of the rotor hat. If there is oil there then you have a hub leak.
