Ok, for those of us who want to see better at night but do not want to break the law by installing a aftermarket HID headlight kit try these headlight bulbs.
I put them into my wifes Volvo and wow, what a difference.
I am going to put them into the truck sometime soon.
They are 4000k in color, factory HID's are 4300k, so they are very close.
Nice and bright, but not blinding to other drivers, no mods to your truck.
Just swap out your old bulbs and put these in.
$30 for a pair.

That’s sweet I will try those out next. I had purchased an HID setup and then read some articles on how the beams go wacky and they don’t work correctly so I returned them and installed the brightest Sylvania bulbs they sell (SilverStar Ultra). They work pretty good. I think they cost $50 for the pair and I got them on Ebay for $25. Thanks for the heads up Spike.

Pretty cool. I'll try those in my next Disco (which I am already working on. 98 LSE for $500). I really like my HIDs but dislike the obvious legal issues they can potentially bring (but willing to risk it if it means me being able to see a moose before I hit it). Hard to find a good compromise of performance and legal but these seem pretty good.
I would like to see a comparison of these bulbs and the Sylvania SIlverstar.
