what kind of problems?

By the way. I did clean the throttle body the day before I changed spark plugs but all was fine..

Then I changed spark plugs and all was fine.

Then the next day it is idling high. Friend pushes on Throttle Sensor and it seems to idle down to normal. Now its back up.

Replaced Idle sensor
Cleaned IAC Will probably replace tomorrow..

What else could this be?

I find no vac leaks and there is no air going around butterfly valve.

Wish I could get some suggestions..

Anyways the high idle is NOT consistant. It'll idle anywhere from 1,200 to 2,500 rpms.

Your TPS is loose.
Start the truck, let it reach op temp, loosen the screws to the TPS just enough to say so.
Tap on the TPS with the handle of your screwdriver until the idle is where you want it.
Using a OBDII scanner with live data is a plus as the tach is not accurate.
Once the idle is where you want it tighten the screws with the engine still running.
You are done.

Thanks for the help man I'll take anything, but I don't think this is it. I just tried what you said and nothing.

I also swapped it with a used iac. No change. Idont want to take it to th dealership..

I pulled tge plug to the iac tps maf and air box. No change no check engine light. I pulled a spark plug wire. I know I shouldn't, and it idled the exact same. No difference. Wich kinda pissed me off. No check engine light. No codes.

One thing I forgot to mention when doing spark plugs my friend accidently switched two wires cylender 4 and 6. Could this be of any clue!

Please help.

Check for vacuum leaks. I believe I already said this in my first post. You can either run the car and spray around the intake / vacuum lines until you find a change in idle, or disconnect the PCV valve, charge the intake system through that PCV line with compressed air, and then spray the engine with soapy water. Wherever it bubbles is your leak.

Oh yeah, did you turn the distributor when you changed the plugs? Have you checked timing?

I don't have a distributor.

Three More things I noticed.

I started the truck this morning cold and it idled at 1000 with the a/c on. When I turned the AC off it went up to 1500 and would go back and forth with the a/c switch.

Also as the engine warmed up the rpms kept rising.

Also the first few seconds of startup I always hear this ticking sound.

This is all with the IAC unplugged.

Plugging in the IAC Raises Idle.
Turning AC off Raises IDLE 500Rpm.

I cannot locate a vacuum leak.

I might change the spark plugs and do a compression test.
