I had one at 267k before a careless driver pulled out in front of me, now my next highest mileage truck is 237k. All original motors with HG replacements of course.

Great looking rig. I love your OCD!

I remember you posted info on the aftermarket u-channel seals for the front windshield cowl cover... to replace the often warped factory seal. Thank you for sharing the info.... I made the modification

I just barely purchased my D2 about a month ago. I'm just getting to know her but she just rolled over 280k. I'm guessing a bunch of stuff has been replaced but who knows. I've gone through and just done all of the basics but so far she's treated me well. Got those 3 amigos but I haven't really dug into that yet.

Very good durable rigs. They just need to be maintained.

I should perhaps start a different thread for this, but how about the highest mileage DII with the original headgaskets?

I'm in the camp that says the original headgaskets can last indefinitely if the engine is not overheated. Unfortunately for me, my wife saw the temp light come on while driving a car full of students back from a field trip 200 miles away and just kept going. This was over 15 years ago, before I was aware of the TBH vulnerability and the need to be so vigilant about checking the coolant level.

So how about it? What is the mileage on your truck if it has the original headgaskets?
