Default Hood Deflector

Several names for this thing depending on where you're from;
Hood Deflector
Stone Guard
Bonnet Guard
https://www.airplex.co.nz/product/15...uard-dark-tint

Anyway, I got my hands on one for a 98 Discovery. They don't make them for the newer models, mines an 03 D2.
Its not made to fit this vehicle, but I've seen it done...I am stumped...before I start drilling I'm reaching out to see if anyone on here has done this and how?

I don't know what the differences are between the hoods of a D1/D2, but the clips provided for mounting don't seem to be useable...the last pic is a random D2 with the same part installed to help motivate me!

I tried to buy this for my Disco but they do not ship outside of NZ. Anyone know of any place that would sell these here in the US?

@adalton

This is where I bought it, Airplex NZ is the manufacturer.
4x4at will ship to you, they have 1 left.
I found how to mount this to my D2 which requires drilling straight through the hood... I will post pics soon when done!

Here it is all done.
Hardware included in the kit is not used
4 holes need to be drilled through the hood
4 holes in the deflector need to be slightly enlarged
1/4 x 2.5" carriage bolt, washer and nyloc nut
3/8 ID PVC pipe cut about an inch long used as a spacer between the deflector & hood.
About $3 worth of bits from Home Depot & that's it.

I can't tell you where to drill, everyone will be different depending on how they measure it up etc..

Oh no! Now that you have the hood deflector... the glorious Land Rover emblem is no longer to be seen. Be prepared to folks calling it a Land Cruiser or Jeep! **cheeky grin**

P/S. The hood deflector looks awesome!
