It's unlikely anyone will take me up on this, but before my old Rioja Red hood goes to recycling I thought I'd ask if anyone in or near Charlotte wants the underhood insulation/blanket/whatever. I've seen a few threads in recent months talking about the underhood blankets so I thought I'd ask. Not likely I suppose. I could probably find a way to ship it if someone wanted it badly enough to pay the shipping.

 

What happened to your hood?

I don't need the liner but would take it if I was in the area, but about 100 miles from you.. Hate to see anything still useful go to trash.

 

The hood has four dimples across its front edge from an incident back in late May when my son was driving it and was rear ended, and pushed into the back of an LR4. The ARB bumper we had on the truck at the time got pushed back toward the hood and the light mounting tabs on the ARB made four nice little dimples. I was able to find a Rioja Red hood at a local salvage yard and chose to use that instead of paying for bodywork on the dimpled hood. You or anyone else are welcome to the entire hood if you want it, also free to a good home.

 

The hood thrown in might sway me to make the trip. However, I am leaving on a trip to Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas this week. If you haven't scrapped it or given it to someone else in 10 days I may go get it. I'm not sure if your 99 red matches my 00 red, but since I plan to hang onto my disco, having a spare will not hurt. Thanks for the offer.
