It’s just sort of lying on the bell housing.

Transmission breather line? I don't remember them having flexible portions like that though.

That is Purge Control Valve Line. It doesn't have anything when it comes up over the bell housing because the Purge Control Valve itself sits on a metal bracket which secures the line.
