Hot new trend.. invisable rims
#3
hahaha, anyway. Got the Treadwright.com Wardens 245/75/16 via fedex today.
First impressions seem to be OK. You'd think they'd try a little harder at making the line where the new tread meets the original tire, be somewhat more invisible. On one of the tires that contact area was white colored.. And it's very obvious when you look at the tire, that they are re-treads. In fact, the guys at the local tire shop who mounted and balanced made it a point to come find me and be sure I knew they were "re-treads" and someone didn't try and scam me. I said "of course I know, they were $90 a tire!"
Being a place that sold tires for a living, it was funny to see their eye's open up as they processed the info and nodded, while walking away.
Only one tire needed what seems like a lot of weights. I'll report back some more once I can run them through their paces. But for the price, not bad so far.
