Default How big can I go?

I just added OME Nitro Shocks and Coils. Need new tires now. What is the largest size I can fit without rubbing. Any idea on what looks best.

Disco II 2003, 86,500 miles, currently using Nitto Terra Grappler 255/55R18

Which coils did you install, this will make a difference? Why use 18"s, if you plan on wheeling 16's around the tire of choice, like a 285/75/16.

Coils are heavy duty OME/ARB. It came from dealer with 18s. I am just trying to figure out what would look best. As far as size and tire brand. I have tried to look at a bunch of the Pic of Discos on this site. Hard to see labels. These Nittos lasted around 40,000 miles. And only one appears to have uneven wear. So I suddenly developed a severe vibration a few weeks after changing shocks, rotating and balancing tires. Next step after rebalancing was for front end alignment. but, tire shop said one tire has alternating thread depth. Thanks for the recommendation. Will look into them.
Anybody got pics of their Disco with nice looking tires? ( with a decent ride)

I'm in the process of deciding this as well, I've found 275/65r18 is a good 32" option 275/70r18 is the 33", but there are other sizes as well. Goodyear has the duratrac and mtr in these sizes. Rovertym told me they have a customer with 35s with 18s on a d2 that has a mild lift and no fender cutting and minimal issues with rubbing. The only size that would seem to fit that description is 285/75r18

These are about as big as you can go on 18" wheels, 285/60r18:

I have 5 of them ready to go buy I just can't bring myself to replace my perfectly good tires I have on there now. They look huge and I suspect there will be some rubbing or bumping of steering stops.

There are 4 OME coils for your truck 2 are HD or Extra HD with an inch difference in height, will make a difference, don't you have the 3 digit part number.
If that shake is still there, your lift may have set up a soon to be failure on the front drive shaft. Crawl under the truck and count the number of grease fittings on the front shaft, if there is only 1 then you need to take care of this ASAP cause when they fail, they can take out the tranny also.
Send me your tele number if you want more help with this.

Thanks for the Info. I'll take a look and get back with details.

Took you advice about have the drive shaft looked at. They rebuilt it at a local mechanic. Covered under my extended warranty. Replaced tires with 265/65/18. did not want to change Rims.
I figured with the new rubber I would have a little more road noise. I still feel a little vibration on acceleration. My steering wheel does not shake or anything. But, at certain speeds I feel like the Disco is vibrating. Could it be the drive shaft still. Or is it the new tires and OME Shocks and coils. Please help

I'd check the rotoflex on the rear driveshaft for cracks.
