Default How to centre the steering wheel

I changed the Panhard rod bushings at the weekend. The steering wheel wasn't well centered before, but now it is worse.

It looks like I adjust the straight-ahead by undoing the locking clamps on the track rod, and then turn the hex-flatted thingy. Is this right?

If you don't have an alignment rack - take it somewhere and have it aligned... Tell them you want the wheel centered...

I don't think I need an alignment jig to do this, just adjust it in small increments until the wheel is straight ahead.

The long track rod behind the wheels should adjust the tracking. I think. So I won't mess with that.

My guess is that if the bushings were bad, the alignment could have been off to begin with. I would personally align it... but, to be fair... I have access to a rack...
