How to Diagnose Vibration
Phew, at the 11th hour LolisDisco. Good premonition to take a look.
Regards rebuild or new shaft, if you are good with spanners and engineering and have ingenuity you can rebuild the Cardan but be warned though it's a real PITA job. The single UJ's and rotoflex are a simple job but reassembling the Cardan (Hookes joint) and removing the centre bearing and refitting it are a real PITA. IMHO, if I were you I'd go for a complete new shaft with UJ grease zerks and fit that unless you are very confident with your spannering abilities.

Well one of the u joints has started to work its way out of the yoke. Looks like I need a whole new driveshaft.
Recommendations?
I'm in the LA area.
Can the truck be driven safely without the front shaft?
Thanks
Eric

I can't move the truck around the block with the front shaft out?
By the way I'm going to order a new shaft from Lucky 8 on Monday.
I found a local junk yard that has the old original style for $300. No way

Thanks
Eric
the truck will not move without the shaft when its not locked. You will have to go under the truck and manually lock the tcase nipple if you have it. x2 on what year, if its an 02-03 you might have to park it.
