75,000 miles. When we had an independent LR mech. check it over, he guessed about 3,000 miles left on them. That was about 3,000 miles ago. Don't know if it has had rotors, I will check the receipts. It has been maintained pretty well before we bought it, had 60,000 mi service and we immediately had the driveshaft rebuilt. My husband usually gets parts from Rovers North. Once I talk to him about it, I will send you our number I know he would appreciate it. We spoke to you once before regarding another Discovery that we were looking at and thankfully did NOT purchase.

A discovery has a pretty open wheel, one look at the pads and rotors and you should be able to tell. How thick are the front and rear pads? Do the rotors have a ridge on the rim from the pads wearing them down? Are there ridges or bumps worn into the rotors from the pads? If so they need to be replaced. Rovers North is overpriced. Call Will Tillery (Roverguy.com) and see what he has in these days. Last time I got all 4 rotors and pads for $275 shipped.

The rotors look clean, but there is a ridge on the rim. I didn't really look at the pads but it looks like I will have to replace the rotors as well as the pads. Thanks for the the Roverguy info.

 

roverparts.com has some pretty good kits too, depending on what your budget is. Doing it yourself saves $$, so you can spend more on parts. I really like my EBC's, they have alot more stopping power.

As to the other comments, some people just get on here to chat and make random posts. Just something you have to wade through at times..
