How I got an SD rack

RE: How I got an SD rack
Nice. I'm not sure which route I want to go for rack lighting. I love the HID's (Kragen, only $120 ea.) but state law requires covers on lights above the bumper. The HID's have protectors, but not covers. Should anything happen to the light I can't get replacement parts, like if I had Hella's. The HID's are 7" and won't sit above the rack. That is one design flaw with the SD rack. The 2 middle lights, if you're running Hella 4K's, sit slightly above the rack so you can't load over the top of the bar there. Kinda dumb considering the rack was made for the 4K's. Oh well that's still a ways off right now.

RE: How I got an SD rack
i just mounted four driving lights on my rack friday... i am gonna have to make covers for them though... i just bought some cheap ones for now because if i go through mud at night when it sprays up in front of my headlights i cannot see at all... i hooked them up to one of my factory switches to the left of my steering wheel just below the defrost switch... they only come on when the ignition is on and the headlights are on, and when i turn the headlights off they go off... keeps me from killing my battery by forgetting them on...
i am gonna put black wire loom over the wires and everything to clean it up a little more but it started raining so i didnt have a chance too...
