I have not, but I wonder if in Canada they require to do it for free the same as seatbelts.

Turns out not airbags are not mandatory in Canada, learn something new every day.

Been wondering about that for a few years. I have to wonder how much it would be to have them serviced?

I believe that this is in place for ALL airbags, not just the ones in your Rover.
But I've never heard of anyone actually doing anything about it.

That advisory was drafted by the lawyers, in and attempt limit liability if the airbags don't deploy once they are >10 years old.

We had a thread a few months back about D2 in accidents, not sure we found any where the airbags actually deployed.

I think the lawyers also worry about old bags causing injury when they do deploy. Trying to make the owners liable in either scenario. Poor us.

I had to re-register my US Discovery with the Canadian authorities when I moved from the States to Canada 9 years ago and brought the truck over the border.

Two things stopped the Canadian authorities from approving the initial importation application - one was to turn on the daytime running lights. The other was I had to get a label maker to make a French version of the sunvisor warning label, and stick it on the sunvisor. Good thing Google Translator existed!

I was at a junk yard shortly after that thread on airbags and came across this...

Both front airbags had gone off along with both front seat belt pre-tensioners!! I got a brand new OEM rear bumper off that D2, and wanted the engine, but they scraped it the following week. They can go off!!! Also as bad as the damage is all 5 doors opened like new.

It looks like the left and right Front Drip Molding (Part # DBC101680/DBC101690) are still looking good and probably worth a bit on ebay or similar - I have been trying to locate these for a couple of weeks without paying silly money!
