Default How much does AC effect MPG in your disco?

I'm noticing that when I have my climate control on economy mode (AC compressor off) I get better gas mileage. It makes sense to a point, but it seems like a significant difference. Could my AC compressor be going bad and increasing fuel consumption? No noises and everything functions as it should, just seems strange to get 2mpg better by not having it on.

What are you getting with and without the a/c on? I loose around 1.5 MPG in town and 1.0 on the road.
If your compressor were going bad, it would be quite noisy.

Sounds about right to me, I gain 1.5 with it off.

Okay, sounds about right. I was just curious. I run mine in sport mode which doesn't help either...but I like it so I don't care
