How much lift will I need?
Why do you want 35" tires if you originally wanted to lower it??? There's no way a 35" will fit with a 2" lift. Most need a 3" just to fit a 285/75/R16 (32.8"). Once you hit 33", you need to start thinking about HD axles, and gearing, because of the extra weight and increased size. How much off roading will you be doing with it? Your mileage will suck with tires that big too.
Because it's gonna cost too much to lower it and with a 22 I think that anything smaller than a 35 will be too low profile. And it will probably never see anything but asphalt i'm building a 96 for off road
im confused. do you want to lower your truck or lift it? are you intending to run 35" tires (as in 35x12 mud terrains or whatever) or do you mean 35 SERIES tires as in 205/35/18s? low profile performance type tires?
It sounds like he wants to fit a 35" tire to a 22" wheel.
How much does it cost to lower a D2? Have you priced how much a 3" lift costs? I'd put that money into the D1 where you'll have something functional and cool, instead of something that's supposed to look cool.

It's gonna need even more than a 3" lift. For a 265/75/16 (32 inch) you need 2 inches of lift. So for a 35 inch tire you will need about 5 inches of lift. The only 5 inch lift kid I've seen costs about $3,000 BEFORE new driveshafts. You may want to look into something smaller, these trucks really aren't built for that sort of application.
