How much should I ask?
Hello! I'm hoping to get some advice. I have a 2000 Discovery II I want to sell. It needs a new transmission. The drive train went through it last winter. I want to sell if for parts or I guess if somone wants to buy it and replace the transmission. I have no idea what a fair price would be. The body is in reasonably good shape. If the transmission were intact I would feel comofortable asking low to fair blue book price for it. Is it possible to get any money for it?
I'd like to get something out of it. Thanks for any advice you can give me!

You can get more money if you part it out and then sell the left over to a scrap yard.
Otherwise, no one (IMO) in their right mind is going to pay more than $500 for it with a bad tranny. And if they do, they will more than likely part it out and make money off it.
