Default How to program new keys for my Disco II without having a current functioning key fob

Hi, folks; I'm looking for guidance on how to program new keys for my Disco II without having a current functioning key fob.

I bought the LAUNCH Creader Elite for Landrover Jaguar OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scanner Key Coding from eBay - but it seems like the only way to program the new keys that I got from Amazon is to have a current functioning key.

Please let me know if there is a better tool or way for me to program this without going to the dealership.

Thank you

I don’t know if your scanner will do it. My Nanocom does it. You don’t need an existing key

It’s a disco essential. The first night I had it I was able to activate the heated windshield, which was magic the next morning when it was below freezing out.

Not a Nanocom expert, but the link you shared is for the TD5 (diesel) version of the Disco II. I think there is a different unit that is specific to the V8.

I think this one: https://amzn.to/4lcIZk9

(full disclosure that is my affiliates link)

There are places online where you can rent it, and there are also users here who lend them out. They're expensive AF otherwise.

Extint rents the Nanocom.

I've got one but I've only really used it to program keys 2-3 times an synched an ECU and instrument cluster once.

Renting is not a bad option

I ordered mine directly from Black Box Solutions in Cypress where they are made.
