Default Hub sensor bearing D2

Hub bearing D2
Hi All
Front left wheel Hub bearing is playing up. Its the 6th time in about 2yrs. The last two I notice like a white grease when I looked inside the hub bearing from where the abs sensor goes.

Any play in the hub bearing that could causing issues?

After a good drive how is the heat of that hub compared to the others? Is it hotter than the other wheels? If you don't have a temp gun a careful touching of each wheel center will give you a good idea of any noticeable difference in temperature.

If you have a multi meter you can check each sensor individually. With a snap-on diagnostic tool I can view abs sensor readings from a touch screen.

A failing wheel hub bearing doesn't necessarily have play and with big tires it can be hard to hear them.

possibly a dragging brake caliper? Maybe it's dragging if they kinked the brake hose?

If not a good name brand hub, ie auto chain store brand, you could have a cheap China made hub that wasn't good from the start. The tooth count could be off, the sensor could be reading wrong, etc.

I want to help you but I don't understand your first post. What's causing you to think the hub is bad?

The hub is a blueprint one. And brake pads and discs are less than a year old... It all started when I got lifted 2in. New shock and springs.

Hi Brandon
My D2 was going through hub's like tomorrow. So I bypassed the shuttle valve. To get rid of the Three Amigos.
But now the traction light just comes
on. No other lights come on but it feels like the front left wheel hub is breaking. So I took it all apart and look inside abs sensor hole was a white creamy colour just want to know if that's normal?

What do you mean your bypassing the shuttle valve? What is “ T “ light?
The shuttle valve is an integral operation of the ABS body; disconnected will fault your ABS system & you’ve got lights on the dash and no TC, DHD or Pulsating brakes.

Things to note. If you pulled your wheel assembly apart down to the wheel speed sensor/ and removed for inspection - then re assembled: did you damage the 0-ring or leave it out? - if the sensor is not at the correct elevation for proper gap - then the sensor could be too close for example and making erratic connection - this would create a scenario where you drive out of the shop and it’s bucking and jerking and distinctively something is not right & cannot be driven. This would be the traction control engaged - which is not possible if you “bypassed” it.

another thing to note - especially if your using Cheap hubs, your wheel sensors rarely can be mixed & matched. You want to use the sensor which came with your hub. So if you have cheap hub with rover sensor- no work. And vise versa.
