Default I cut the old radiator in half...

I did the stupid thing back in February and reinstalled the fan shroud screw the way it was designed to be installed... and of course... cracked the radiator. Dumb. Anyway, ended up replacing the radiator last week, finally, and decided to cut the old one in half to see how the original radiator fared with Dexcool and few to possibly zero coolant changes. Pretty crystalized in there.

impressive blockage...looks like my coronaries!

and luckily it is one of the less expensive LR parts......after (maybe?)17 years, probably worth swapping out for new one

It's not too bad actually, I've seen much worse, but a bottle of super flush works great.

PMCS is amazing if done.

I grew up in the shop using super flush. Of course we rebuilt radiators and coolers as a side job daily but that's what we grew to love.

That radiator doesn't look bad at all, considering it's over 15 years old. Some flush would do the trick (granted, l know this one had other issues, screw hole).

The Brits over here still insist on using DexCool for Land Rover TD5 and V8 engines.
