I'm actually with Mike on this one now. After spending sometime, it really is quite better. Polls work, posting is easier, comma's dont turn into '''''''''''''''''''''', and I think once you get used to it the overall look will be just as good as the old.

I still think we need a new picture at the top, that freelander drives me crazy!!!!
Gold Disco anyone????

This update was incredibly necessary.

Think of all the bugs the forum had previously
-images not dispalying
-apostrophes
-phplayout failures
-many others

This is much better, even if it is different. The only thing the admin has to do is change it so that avatars are displayed, which is quite simple so i'd bet it is done fast

OK, I am slowly getting used to this. My response was the same as Spike's at first, especially since I've been trying to get on all day, and haven't been able to cuz the address changed from having the www on the front. It's been bugging me all day, so I finally searched and the new site came up on Google. I do like that all the bugs have been fixed.

One nice thing is if you go into your account settings you can set how many posts are on the first page.
And the ignore feature...I wont be getting many replies.

I like it a lot. It reminds me of my old paintball forums.

To the Site owner/s, please change the Freelander "mascot" to the true symbol of the Land Rover. Hint: check out the number of post at the Vehicle line-up.
Though, I highly doubt that they are browsing this page, likely they are in the RR or Defender or heaven forbid in the Freelander section :-) Oh well its worth a try.

I haven't had much opportunity to play on the forum since the change so I will have to take your words that the change is good. My question is whether the search function has been improved. Anyone try the new search yet? Good news is that it's pretty much impossible for them to make the search function worse.
